After the classic events and the Mini-Ganghoferlauf provided exciting moments on Saturday, the skating competitions took place on Sunday in the Seefeld Sports Arena. The skating lineup was again filled with motivated hobby runners and ambitious professionals. At the end of this impressive race weekend, there is a successful Green Event premiere, a satisfied organizing team, and plenty of happy athletes.
Despite all adversities, the Ganghoferlauf 2024 turned out to be a true success story. With the Green Event, an important step towards sustainability was taken, and on a sporting level, the participants engaged in truly thrilling competitions. The alternative route in the Seefeld Sports Arena proved to be a fast, attractive course, especially on Sunday, demanding everything from the athletes. In the end, the perfect collaboration of all involved ensured a smooth flow of the 57th Ganghoferlauf, which was, for the first time, entirely available to watch in a live stream. Seefeld Tourism Association CEO Elias Walser draws a satisfied conclusion: “When I saw all the happy faces at the finish line today, I knew that it was the right decision to hold the Ganghoferlauf this year. Especially on the second day, the track here in Seefeld was in excellent condition, and we witnessed a great race. The effort was definitely worth it.”
